Parent Association Meeting 19th of September 2017 @ 8pm in the church hall. All welcome.
As a parent / guardian you are an automatic member of the “Yellow Furze National School” Parents Association. The Parents Association is run by a committee of parents elected at the AGM which is usually held in September each year.
Your ideas and support will be crucial in helping to make the P.A. a success. From time to time the P.A. runs meetings, talks, events and fundraisers. In the past these have included talks by Dr. Vincent Maloney, Child Psychologist & Author, Joanne Owens, NDP/Reflexology Therapist, a Summer Fete, Halloween Party, Sponsored walks & Social events. They also provide refreshments at school events such as First Day Parents on the day your child starts school, after celebrations such as First Holy Communion and Confirmation, and the End of Year Mass. These contribute greatly to the social life of the school and are also a means of getting to know new people. Fundraising is carried out for specific projects with the permission of the Board of Management for the benefit of the children. The names of the P.A. committee are available from the school office. All new members are very welcome.
